FashionValet Unleashes The True Potential Of Their Business Through Oracle NetSuite Adoption

FashionValet was founded in 2010 by Malaysia’s popular blogger Vivy Yusof and her husband Fadzarudin Anuar. The company provides a wide selection of ready-to-wear garments for women, men and children. As an omnichannel retail business with offices located in Malaysia and Singapore, FashionValet has expanded to serve customers not only in Southeast Asia but also Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East region with a seamless shopping experience.

Previously, FashionValet relied heavily on in-house legacy systems along with 3rd party systems such as AutoAccount and Retail Pro for their enterprise resource management. The month-end closing process became an intense collaboration between departments and it was difficult to produce the financial reports on time.

As the business grew, it became obvious that the legacy systems lacked in-depth functionalities and features to support the finance and operation team in order to achieve the company’s growth strategy and plan. Furthermore, it would take a significant amount of time to produce financial and operational reports, which affected their ability to make timely business decisions.

“Dealing with our internal processes including the management account reviews, it used to take us more than three to four weeks to generate a report.”

-Loh Toi Meei, Chief Financial Officer-

With its robust core financial module and ability to integrate with other solutions, Oracle NetSuite helped FashionValet to streamline the management accounts review to be more effective and efficient.

While the COVID-19 crisis has created a tremendous amount of uncertainty, being on the Oracle NetSuite platform has enabled the FashionValet team to work remotely, capture key data and report all financial information on time for management decision making during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

Being on Oracle NetSuite has also allowed the FashionValet team to continue to work and collaborate as a team remotely as all business data can be securely accessed from the cloud anytime and anywhere.

As a 5 Star Oracle NetSuite Partner, PointStar supported FashionValet throughout the implementation process. The PointStar team used a proven methodology through structured approach and comprehensive training to maximise the true benefits of cloud ERP software.

“When we engaged PointStar, they came in with a consultant to understand our business needs and our pain points in terms of our data integration and the processes.”

– Loh Toi Meei, Chief Financial Officer-

Moving forward, PointStar and FashionValet will continue to collaborate to explore more ways to streamline the business processes. This project will allow the FashionValet team to reduce time-consuming manual work by deploying automated workflow available on Oracle NetSuite.
